To get there, take the famous Passage du Gois, which links the Vendée coast to the island of Noirmoutier. But be warned: at high tide the Passage du Gois is completely covered by water and therefore inaccessible. Find out about the tides before you set off, so you don't get trapped by the water.

The island is a must if you're in the Vendée or at Le Moulin de la Salle campsite. You can reach Ile d'Yeu by boat from Fromentine, La Barre de Monts and Saint Gilles Croix de Vie. Once there, discover its 23km² of land by cycling around the island. You'll be charmed by the magnificent scenery, with its wild coastline and dunes. You'll have an unbeatable view of the ocean. As you cycle along, you'll discover the authentic, unspoilt charm of the island and its rich heritage: the Chapelle de la Meule chapel, the old Château, the lighthouses, the Citadel...
