The most beautiful beaches in the Vendée
Come and recharge your batteries in Les Sables-d'Olonne and enjoy the fine sandy beaches near the Moulin de la Salle campsite. People come to the Vendée mainly to enjoy its magnificent beaches. Whether wild or busy, there's nothing more enjoyable than spending an afternoon with the family swimming while the kids build sandcastles.
La Grande Plage
Just a few minutes from the Moulin de la Salle campsite in Les Sables-d'OlonneYou'll have access to the Grande Plage. One of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, it faces due south. You're bound to find a spot to put your towel down on the 3 km of fine sand. The beach is very lively in summer, and there's also a children's club.

Tanchet beach
You can also discover the Tanchet beach. The beach is ideal for board sports, and there is a sailing school. You'll find a number of charming little bars for refreshments and snacks. And for even more comfort, you can hire a deckchair.

Paracou Beach
A small, wild cove where peace and quiet are the order of the day. This beach is ideal for an afternoon reading in the sun. It's also a favourite spot for anglers.

Sauveterre and Granges beaches
If you love wild coastlines, then you'll love being on Sauveterre beach. To get there, you'll have no choice but to pass through the heart of the national forest. This beach is a favourite with surfers.
Dogs tolerated, kept on a lead. From 1 June to 30 September, dogs are not allowed in the water from 12pm to 7pm.

In the same style as Sauveterre beach, you'll love the peace and quiet of Granges beach.
The Dombret basin
If you like unusual places, then you're going to love the bassin Dombret. Right in the middle of the small Vendée creeks, a natural swimming pool has been nestled with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean.
If you travel along the Vendée coast, you'll find many other beaches: in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, Brétignolles sur Mer, Saint Jean de Monts... each more beautiful than the last.
