If you'd like to find out more about the work of the sauniers, there are several sites close to the campsite: the Salorge de la Vertonne on the Ile d'Olonne, the salt marshes Riviola on île d'Olonne, the salt marshes of life in Saint Hilaire de Riez and salt marshes on the island of Noirmoutier. Summer is harvest time, and you may be lucky enough to see one of them during your visit.
At the gateway to our campsite, the Moulin de la Salle is located in Les Sables d'OlonneThere are plenty of cycle paths leading to the sandy beaches or to the town centre. If you stay with us, you won't need to get out your car to go to the beach. This is a real bonus, as it means you won't have to waste time looking for a parking space.
If you like bucolic walksIf you want to discover these vast expanses where salt and sky merge, then the salt marshes are the perfect place for you to take a walk. Here you'll forget everything, far from the stress and hubbub of the big cities, you'll be able to recharge your batteries and get together as a family to enjoy the treasures of nature.
By boat, canoe, bike, on foot... There are many pleasant ways to visit the marshes and discover the work of the salt workers. At the end of your visit, you may be lucky enough to taste some of this delicious white gold.
