The Sables d'Olonne is a Vendée resort that needs no introduction. The famous Vendée Globe race has made the town famous, starting every four years in its harbour. But that's not all: the town's authentic charm and long sandy beach are also a big part of its appeal.
Every summer tourists head off on holiday to enjoy the soothing climate of the Sables d'Olonne. Camping le Moulin de la Salle is fortunate to be located in Les Sables d'Olonne, but above all to be the closest to its beaches and port. If you spend a few days at our campsite, you'll have the chance to take full advantage of the many tourist attractions nearby.
Hop on your bike and set off for a lazy afternoon on the beach. the large sandy beach. Take advantage of one of the seafront restaurants/bars for refreshments and meals. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Take a leisurely stroll along the charming embankment and discover the beautiful, atypical villas that have retained all their charm. A few metres further on, don't miss the Olonna harbour, where fishing boats and sailing ships mingle. Here you can try your hand at water sports such as jet skiing. This is one of the largest harbours in the Vendée, with 1400 berths available and 24-hour access.
The Sables d'Olonne is vibrant at the height of the season. The tourist office organises shows, concerts, fireworks, entertainment... You'll always find something to do here. You can also have a good time in one of the many bars, at the casino or in the seawater pool opposite the beach on the embankment.
