Vendée and the Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2018
For yet another occasion, the Vendée will be at the heart of a major sporting event of international renown: the 105th edition of the Tour de France 2018 will set off from the island of Noirmoutier on 7 July 2018.

On Saturday 7 July, the first stage will take the peloton through the Gois Pass and then along the Vendée coast via les Sables d'Olonne finishing in Fontenay-le-Comte and covering a total distance of 183km.

The second stage will start from Mouilleron-Saint-Germain on Sunday 8 July. The riders will tour the north of Vendée, passing through Les Herbiers, Montaigu, Aizenay... finishing in La Roche sur Yon and covering a total distance of 183km.
